Masters 2019: Tiger Woods claims 5th US Masters title

Brooks Koepka chips to the 15th green during the second round for the Masters golf tournament Friday

Tiger Woods celebrated in style after returning to the winner's circle and claiming a historic 15th major title at the Masters. "My dad was here in 97 (when he won his first Masters) and now I'm the dad with two kids there".

The victory came 14 years after winning his last Green Jacket and prompted emotional scenes as Woods embraced his mother Kultida, and his children Sam and Charlie after holing a putt on the last to move to 15 major titles, within three of all-time great Jack Nicklaus.

When his final putt disappeared into the cup, Woods delivered one of his trademark fist pumps then raised both arms in the air screaming in absolute delight as the crowd chanted, "Tiger, Tiger, Tiger". Impossibly, ridiculously, Tiger Woods is back on top in golf again, with his fused back, his pile of lost years and his talent somehow back from the dead. Things turned around in 2018, with a win at the Tour Championship his first victory on tour in five years.

Going into the final round, Woods was joint second on 11-under, two shots behind overnight leader Francesco Molinari.

Woods sent his drive at 10 way right, forcing him to chip out and leading to a bogey.

It capped one of the most incredible sporting comebacks of all time.
