Australia's new $50 bill printed with embarrassing typo

The Australian $50 note has a big typo

The Melbourne-based Triple M radio station posted photos of the typo on its social media accounts.

The word "responsibility" is printed with a missing "i" in the Australian $50 note photographed in Sydney. The error is there in three places.

The misspelling is included twice on the note as text from Ms Cowan's speech is repeated in the design.

The RBA on Thursday said the typo would be corrected on future notes. Its central bank has announced that the misspelled notes already in circulation will eventually be replaced - even though that might take some time.

The bills were released late a year ago and feature Edith Cowan, the first female member of an Australian parliament.

"And I want to emphasise the necessity which exists for other women being here", Cowan added. She has been featured on 50-dollar notes in Australia since 1995.

Busquets Issues Apology To Barcelona Fans Following Champions League Exit
He scored 31 goals in 33 games, recording one of the finest individual seasons in the history of British football, before leaving for Barcelona .

The note came into circulation on October 18, 2018 with new security features created to deter counterfeiting and with tactile elements for the visually impaired.

Just look at this Australian who found a typo in the minuscule text printed on the nation's brand new and improved AU$50 note.

The Reserve Bank of Australia has confirmed the word "responsibility" was misspelt on hundreds of millions of notes before they entered circulation, including a batch of about 46 million new notes printed previous year.

Around 46 million notes are in use across the country.

A new $20 note is scheduled to begin printing this October, probably with the help of a few spell checkers.

The last print run produced 46 million of the misspelled notes.
