Air Canada plane, fuel truck collide at Pearson airport

Five people have been hospitalized following an airplane's collision with a fuel tank truck at Toronto's Pearson Airport.

Const. Iryna Yashnyk says the man driving the fuel truck was not injured and faces a charge of risky driving.

The aircraft was taxiing to its gate, according to a spokeswoman for the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, which operates Pearson.

A spokesman for Peel Regional Police says the truck hit the plane three times, and five people - the pilot, co-pilot and three passengers - were treated for minor injuries.

"The aircraft came to a full stop, crew deplaned passengers quickly and they were escorted into the terminal building", she added. Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and transported three crew members and two passengers to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Toronto Raptors keys to beating Philadelphia 76ers in Game 7
However, Portland will need scoring from a third source to win on the road, and that may be Rodney Hood . That led to a fight on the court, and the Sixers' Jimmy Butler and Nets' Jared Dudley were ejected.

The plane was originally headed from Toronto to Sudbury, but turned back to Pearson due to bad weather in the northern Ontario city.

An aircraft with 50 passengers on board collided with a fuel truck at Canada's busiest airport early Friday. It did not specify if the injured were passengers, crew or airport workers.

The extent of damage to the plane wasn't immediately clear.

Toronto Pearson International Airport confirmed the incident in a tweet.
