Actress Felicity Huffman departs federal court in Boston on April 3 after facing charges in a nationwide college admissions bribery scandal. Singer has admitted that he paid "proctors" to correct wrong answers on students' tests or take the exam in their place.

In exchange for her guilty plea, Huffman will serve approximately four months to ten months in prison, for crimes carrying a maximum sentence of twenty years.

According to reports, Felicity Huffman entered a guilty plea for her involvement in the college admissions scandal.

"Everything else (the prosecutor) said I did, I did", she said. Authorities have called it the biggest college admissions cheating scandal ever prosecuted in the USA, ensnaring Hollywood stars and business executives as well as coaches at such prestigious schools as Georgetown and Yale.

Huffman, of Los Angeles, was among 33 parents charged in March when federal prosecutors disclosed an investigation of an illicit scheme that a college admissions consultant orchestrated to help children of the wealthy get into prominent universities. The organization hired individuals to take tests on behalf of students with falsified medical forms claiming they required extra time on standardized tests like the ACT and SAT. Huffman also previously agreed to cooperate with the IRS to pay back taxes improperly deducted due to KWF's false status as a nonprofit. Because Huffman agreed to plead guilty, prosecutors have promised to recommend a sentence at the low end of that range, but the judge will make the decision on September 14. which could include not sending the star to jail at all.

Doris Day Dies: 'Pillow Talk' Star, Singer Dead at 97
On the strength of her voice, Day, who had no acting experience, was offered a starring role in 1948's Romance on the High Seas . Day also found success as a singer with Whatever Will Be, Will Be ( Que Sera, Sera ) arguably her biggest and most familiar hit.

Parents still fighting the charges include fellow actress Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli. Her charges carried a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, but with the plea deal prosecutors have recommended a lighter sentence of 4-to-10-months.

After Huffman agreed to plead guilty, Netflix officials said a film starring her, Otherhood, would not be released as planned in April and a new date would be determined.

Huffman later discussed the scheme in a recorded phone call with Singer, the complaint says.

Huffman is scheduled to plead guilty alongside another parent charged in the case, California businessman Devin Sloane, who prosecutors said paid Singer $250,000 to help his oldest son gain admission to USC as a purported water polo recruit.

Some parents have chose to fight the charges.
