Jupiter, its largest moons, will be visible with binoculars Monday night

Jupiter and its 4 moons will soon be visible with just binoculars

However, NASA says, the entire month is an equally good time to check out the planet and its four largest moons.

Jupiter, the fifth planet from the Sun and the largest in the Solar System- is at its biggest and brightest this month.

David Greg from the Tauranga Astronomical Society says on June 10, Jupiter and Earth will be at their closest.

Jupiter will be easily visible to the naked eye all month long, with the most ideal conditions happening next week; with a pair of binoculars you will be able to get an even more spectacular view of the planet, as well as the four largest Jovian moons. "Even when it's low down, it will look pretty steady, and that will make it stand out".

It will remain visible to the naked eye all night.

NASA has been studying Jupiter closely for three years with the Juno (Junona) spacecraft.

David Ortiz’s Wife Releases A New Statement
Lastly, I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and love that we have received during this incredibly hard time. Lopez suffered non-life threatening injuries when he was struck in the leg, apparently by the same bullet that hit Ortiz.

"We basically line up between the sun, the Earth and Jupiter, which brings us to our closest point in the year".

June 14-19 will also provide a great view for sky-watchers as the moon, Jupiter and Saturn form what NASA calls a "beautiful lineup in the sky" that "changes each night as the moon moves in its orbit around Earth".

Want to catch a look at Jupiter's famous Red Spot?

Look to the night skies this month and you might just see something unbelievable - and you may only need a pair of binoculars to do it!
