Nokia 9 PureView With Penta-Lens Rear Cameras Coming to India Soon

Nokia 9 Pure View India launch teased by HMD Global

Ultimate focal length control on the Nokia 9 PureView. However, there wasn't any "coming soon" hinted in that teaser, unlike the latest Twitter post by Nokia.

In a tweet earlier in the day, Nokia Mobile India, the official Twitter handle of the company shared a short video confirming that the Nokia 9 PureView smartphone will be launching in India soon.

After months of speculation and uncertainty over its launch in the country, it seems Nokia 9 PureView is finally headed to India. "Coming soon", the tweet reads. Are you interested in a Nokia phone with a high-end sensor but in a mid-range body?

There's no exact date announced, but HMD Global should be confirming the launch date in the very near future.

The India launch of the device was long overdue. HMD Global first unveiled the penta-camera setup Nokia 9 in February during MWC 2019.

Afghanistan vs West Indies: Dream11 Fantasy Preview, Playing XI and Team
West Indies' batting might trumps Afghanistan's inexperience bowling, and the Men in Maroon are the favourites. We had them in a spot of bother as well.

The Nokia 9 PureView's camera system has been developed in partnership with Light.

The Nokia 9 PureView comes with a 5.99-inch P-OLED screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9, which is further protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and also supports HDR 10.

For avoiding a camera bump at the back, Nokia 9 PureView does not come with OIS or optical image stabilization. HMD Global has also worked with Qualcomm and Google to optimise the camera setup to fully utilise the Snapdragon 845 SoC's power and work well Google's Photos app. It packs in 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage as well. The connectivity options includes Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC.

The smartphone is also IP67 certified making it water and dust resistant. Apparently, there is a 3.5mm jack on the top edge as a cutout for the same can be spotted in the case. It sports 12MP sensors at the back, though the company has used a combination of three monochromatic and two RBG sensors. Each of these cameras is triggered when a person takes a shot and then the phone fuses these photos together to create a single image.
