Laurent Koscielny refuses to travel to United States with Arsenal

Arsenal's Koscielny refuses to join pre-season tour- club

Koscielny, 33, joined Arsenal in 2010 from Lorient and now has one year left on his contract.

Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny has refused to travel with the squad on their pre-season tour to the United States, the club have announced.

Arsenal said they were "very disappointed by Laurent's actions" as rumours started to swirl about a potential return to his native France for the 33-year-old.

Koscielny joined the Gunners from Lorient back in 2010 and has won two FA Cups during his time at the club.

Arsenal fans have since been wondering what could have happened behind the scenes for Koscielny to outright refuse to travel.

The France worldwide is out of contract next summer and has been linked with a move back to France.

Powell Signals That Rate Cut Could Be Coming Soon
After the meeting, China and the United States agreed to resume trade talks and Washington promised no new tariffs. The Fed chair went on to reiterate that the central bank would "act as appropriate" to sustain economic expansion.

Bordeaux have reportedly offered him a three-year contract, prompting him to take action to move back to his country.

Bordeaux, Lyon and Rennes are some of the top clubs said to be keen in landing the services of the veteran defender.

Arsenal have slammed Koscielny in an official statement, as the club have now opened disciplinary proceedings against the French worldwide.

"Fair enough if you want to leave and if you've got offers from France, speak behind the scenes and try to organise it, but if the club can't come to an agreement you just carry on your business".

Koscielny wants to be released from his contract a season early so he could leave on a free and pave the road for a team to sign him.

The Gunners are also persuing Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, having submitted a £15m bid for the defender already, but the Hoops value him at £25m ($31m).
