Koscielny refuses to travel on Arsenal's pre-season tour to the USA

Laurent Koscielny

Koscielny, who is expected to be hit with a hefty fine, will be stripped of captaincy and will be made to train with Arsenal's kids after his decision to turn his back on his employers.

The Gunners announced on their website their disappointment in the former France worldwide after he refused to take part in the club's pre-season tour, leading the press across the Channel to make a few phone calls.

And Wright feels the whole situation with Koscielny is a bad example for the youngsters at the club and urged Arsenal to fix it up before the start of the season.

And should Arsenal fail to sell him this summer, one option the player could explore is to buy himself out of his deal to make him a free agent.

Speaking on his own YouTube channel, Wright said: "He's given us unbelievable service, we've seen him play through pain and build a legacy and legendary status he deserves".

Google probes leak of smart speaker recordings
Of the recordings VRT NWS listened to 153 were recorded without the OK Google hotword being spoken which is striking. Google also says it will work to improve how it explains the Assistant privacy settings to people.

In something of a bombshell for all associated with the Gunners yesterday afternoon, it was announced that club captain Koscielny had informed Unai Emery and co. that he would not be joining his fellow teammates on their pre-season tour of the US.

"This is going to be a tough season for Arsenal because we are in transition and we have a lot catching up to do".

"Laurent Koscielny has refused to travel to the USA for our pre-season tour", Arsenal said in a statement. Addressing Koscielny directly, Wright continued his criticism of the Frenchman. "I love you Laurent but this is a poor decision".

"We don't need this right now at Arsenal, we are behind the eight ball".

"It doesn't set a good example, Arsenal need to do something quick", said former England striker Wright. Then again, you can not let one player dictate your transfer dealings as they sets a poor precedent.
