Cassandra Walker, the Georgia Dairy Queen employee who made the drug-themed ice cream cake, said she was sacked over the mistake that she claims was not even her fault in the first place.
It all started when Tammy Davis called the store in Milledgeville, Georgia, and asked for workers to make a cake with the Disney character Moana on top, in honor of her daughter Kensli's favorite character, for her 25th birthday party.
The family has been ordering cakes from the Dairy Queen location for 10 years, and nothing like this has ever happened.
The cake was decorated with green icing, and featured a marijuana leaf along with a "My Little Pony" character that seemed to be high from its own love of marijuana with red, half-open eyes. It was not the Disney heroine design the Davises were expecting.
The post with the photo of the cake has now been shared over 14,000 times and received more than 2000 Likes.
"That ice cream cake was still good though", she wrote on Facebook.
Davis said she thinks the mix-up was an honest miscommunication.
But unfortunately, not everyone got a chuckle out of the mistake. "This is back-to-school time".
"I guess when they said that I love cartoons, they were like, 'Let's throw a little pony on there.' So they put a little pony on there". I have a vehicle that needs fixing.
Walker said Dairy Queen fired her for the mistake on Monday, which was her birthday.
Pro wrestler arrested, charged with public intoxication
Jeffrey Hardy, 41, was taken-in custody by Myrtle Beach Police on Saturday from the Ocean Enclave by Hilton Grand Vacations. Hardy had previously been arrested in Concord, NC in March 2018 following a traffic accident, for driving while impaired.
"The manager stood behind me while I pulled the images off the Internet", Walker said.
Fox News reported that the employee who made the cannabis cake, Cassandra Walker, was sacked for the offense, which she argued wasn't even her fault.
"The lady who made my cake was apologetic and offered to make another one".
Our cake decorator designed a cake based on what she thought she heard the customer order. The woman who decorated that cake is not laughing - in fact, she says she lost her job because of the confusion.
"I was just sharing with my Facebook friends how amusing the mix-up was and it just went from there", Davis explained.
She said despite the error the first cake was good.
"I was very impressed by the artistic capabilities of them to be able to do the design that they did", Davis told WMAZ. "The customer said it was fine, paid for the cake and left".
"It was a mistake", she said to USA Today.
"Well needless to say these people thought she said marijuana", she added. I don't know, just a thought.
