China warns India of 'reverse sanctions' if Huawei is blocked

US congressman claims China is strong-arming India into using Huawei 5G

As of now, there isn't any information on the inclusion of Huawei in the trails after it had issues with the United States over trade and national security concerns.

In the meeting, Chinese officials said that the Indian firms operating in China could face the repercussions in case India decides to block Huawei after facing pressure from Washington.

In May, Trump signed an executive order that banned US companies from using Huawei equipment; however, the administration lifted the ban at the beginning of July after Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed to a trade ceasefire at the G-20 summit in Osaka, Japan.

"China is now blackmailing India into using Huawei for its 5G infrastructure - they know no bounds!" The administration has warned that Huawei's equipment could give the Chinese access to phone calls and other communications and it has tried to persuade allies not to use the company's equipment in their build-out of the next generation of wireless networks, known as 5G.

Prasad had earlier stated that the matter concerns security issues in India and said, "Whether a particular company is allowed to participate or not is a complex question including security issues".

United Kingdom food industry looks to avoid shortages in no-deal Brexit
Rycroft said that the industry spent a lot of money trying to prepare for the first two Brexit time limits in March and April. Dover is a crucial chokepoint through which the biggest portion of cross-channel trade enters the country from France.

Government contractors have said they were confused about the scope of the ban and what it will mean for their businesses. The country has not yet decided whether to invite Huawei to take part in the trials.

The government should get wireless carriers who will be rolling out 5G services to use Indian-made software to drive equipment supplied by gearmakers such as Huawei, NSAB expert V.Kamakoti said in a recent internal presentation reviewed by Reuters. According to the leak, the Indian ambassador to China reportedly met with Chinese officials on July 10, where they discussed Beijing's concerns about the USA campaign to bar Huawei from the world's 5G infrastructure.

In response to Reuters' questions, China's foreign ministry said Beijing hoped India would make an independent decision on 5G bidders.

Furthermore, she also said that on the issue of Chinese enterprises participating in the construction of India's 5G they hope the Indian side makes an independent and objective decision to provide a fair and non-discriminatory commercial environment for Chinese enterprises investment and operations to realize the mutual benefit.

The Indian foreign ministry did not respond to a request for comment.
