Boris Johnson reels from brother’s resignation as party ‘looks awful and intolerant’

Boris Johnson's Demand For October 15 Election Rejected By MPs

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson says he would "rather be dead in a ditch" than delay Brexit beyond next month, as he urged opposition lawmakers who oppose his plan to support an early election.

His brother, Jo Johnson, dramatically quit the government Thursday, saying he could no longer endure the conflict "between family loyalty and the national interest".

His pro-European credentials stood at odds with those of his brother's, who became prime minister on a pledge to leave the European Union by the October 31 Brexit deadline - come what may.

Mr Gauke was one of 21 MPs to be deselected by the Conservative Party after rebelling against in the Commons this week.

Yesterday, the day after MPs rejected the first attempt to call a snap poll, Leader of the House of Commons Jacob Rees-Mogg told MPs that he would put forward a "motion relating to an early parliamentary election" to be voted on Monday evening.

Caroline Nokes, who has been MP for Romsey and Southampton North since 2010, said her decision to defy the party whip on Tuesday came as a result of Johnson's decision to suspend parliament in the critical weeks before the Brexit deadline on October 31. Johnson wants an election on October 15 in order to stick to the Brexit deadline of October 31.

Richard Tice, who also represents the Brexit Party in Strasbourg as an MEP, issued the stark warning to Johnson on Thursday via social media.

Prosecutors: R. Kelly moved to general inmate population
The Grammy Award-winner has entered not guilty pleas in all the cases but the one in Minnesota, where he will be arraigned later. He added that he wasn't overly anxious that a fellow inmate might bid to make a name for himself by attacking a celebrity.

Pressure continues to build on Johnson after his younger brother, Jo Johnson, spectacularly resigned from Parliament. Johnson has accused Corbyn of cowardice for not facilitating a snap poll.

The legislation against a "no-deal" Brexit must still pass the House of Lords, but Mr Johnson has accepted that it nearly certainly will become law. The Trump administration has embraced Mr. Johnson and Brexit, and Mr. Pence said the USA was "ready, willing and able to immediately negotiate a free trade agreement with the U.K".

He said later that Britain should take no lectures on how to conduct its affairs - a nod to U.S. President Barack Obama's ill-fated warning in 2016 that Britain would go to the "back of the queue" for a trade deal if it left the EU. He's gambling on a general election.

Against the dollar, the pound rose 0.7 per cent to $1.2337 US, after jumping 1.4 per cent on Wednesday on the sense that the prospect of a no-deal exit had receded.

An election before Brexit would allow Johnson, if he won, to repeal the blocking bill.

In particular, they said London had yet to make any meaningful proposals to address Johnson's complaints about the divorce settlement that his predecessor Theresa May agreed with the European Union but failed to get through parliament at home. While he has said he is making progress in talks to rework the terms his predecessor Theresa May agreed with the EU, European diplomats said London has yet to make any meaningful proposals.
