Israeli leader claims to find new Iranian nuke site

Israeli leaders on Monday disclosed the existence of yet another secret Iranian nuclear weapons site that Tehran has attempted to hide from the global community, a disclosure likely to amplify calls from the worldwide community for Iran to come clean about its ongoing weapons work.

The MKs who opposed the "cameras bill" want the election to be "fraudulent and stolen", Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday, shortly after the proposal was stopped from going to a vote in the Knesset on Monday.

"Iran conducted experiments to develop nuclear weapons", Mr Netanyahu said.

The prime minister, whose place is an arch-enemy of Iran, did not present more particulars on the alleged experiments, or when they purportedly have been held.

But although he then accused Iran of lying about its atomic ambitions, he did not supply evidence that Tehran had actively labored to receive the bomb since its 2015 nuclear offer with planet powers.

In comments directed at Iranian officials he added: "Israel knows what you're doing, Israel knows when you're doing it, and Israel knows where you're doing it". He said the worldwide community should exert more pressure on Iran.

Global Positioning System co-ordinates offered by Mr Netanyahu did correspond to a set of buildings in the hills north of Abadeh, according to commercially available satellite images, but their goal could not be immediately determined. The second, taken in July, showed parts of the building had been destroyed, in what he said was an Iranian cover-up after Israel discovered the facility.

Iran on Monday rejected Netanyahu's claim saying he was seeking a pretext for war.

Last year, President Donald Trump withdrew the U.S. from the nuclear agreement and reimposed sanctions on Iran.

Iran's Foreign Minister Javad Zarif tweeted on Monday that "the possessor of real nukes cries wolf" on an allegedly demolished site in Iran. U.S. intelligence officials have made the same conclusion.

The IAEA said Iran was starting to follow through on its pledge last week to further breach the landmark 2015 accord, this time installing more advanced centrifuges and moving towards enriching uranium with them, which the deal bans.

Netanyahu's announcement also provided a distraction from Israel's heated election campaign.

"Netanyahu is all over again employing intelligence information and facts for his election propaganda", Yair Lapid of the centrist Blue and White alliance claimed on Twitter. At one point, officials suggested it could become an air defence base.

Global Positioning System coordinates offered by Netanyahu did correspond to a set of buildings located in the hills north of Abadeh, according to commercially available satellite images. A dirt road appeared to be the only access to the site in a March 27 image.
