Brexit: What's Jeremy Corbyn's thinking?

Class clown Boris Johnson has pupils giggling during his visit to Pimlico primary school in west London where he tried out some elementary French

Likewise, he noted that the Conservative Party would use a hard Brexit as an excuse to sell-off public services, do away with regulations that protect the United Kingdom population and strip workers of their rights.

DUP leader Arlene Foster and her deputy Nigel Dodds, who leads the party in Westminster, spent more than an hour inside 10 Downing Street and insisted they had enjoyed a "very good" meeting.

However these terms would not prevent the party fielding a candidate against the Prime Minister, who voted for the Agreement once and has said he wants a deal.

In exchange, Mr Farage called on Mr Johnson not to field candidates against Brexit Party hopefuls in Leave-supporting areas in the North, the Midlands and Wales that are now held by Labour.

"This was an egregious case of a clear failure to comply with generally accepted standards of behavior of public authorities", concluded one judge, Philip Brodie, according to a summary of the court verdict.

'I've said I reckon Boris could get a majority of 60/100 John Curtis independently says it would be at least 40, we have a solution here.

So, apart from his own scepticism towards an European Union that he believes needs reform, what is the thinking behind Jeremy Corbyn's position?

Speaking on the Andrew Neil show he said: 'It was tribal, party politics and I'm asking for whoever put that statement out, can't we rise above that? So today we are announcing that the next Labour government will bring about the biggest extension of rights for workers our country has ever seen.

Hong Kong exchange makes £29.6bn bid for London Stock Exchange
HKEX said in a statement on September 11 that it has made an offer worth 8,361 pence a share to combine the two companies. The name of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited is displayed at the entrance in Hong Kong, China January 24, 2018.

Opponents said the real reason was to shut down debate and challenges to his Brexit plans.

So aside from the rather melodramatic spectacle of MPs who had just voted against an election holding up placards saying they were being silenced, there is no guarantee that their multiple defeats of Johnson in parliamentary votes will achieve anything tangible except to delay a general election until November at the earliest.

"Very hard though it was, I and many others respected the result of the 2016 referendum for a long time", he said.

The Liberal Democrats said: "We were absolutely rock solid on rejecting out of hand Boris Johnson's attempt to cut and run with a general election".

But the only way to break the Brexit deadlock once and for all is a public vote in a referendum.

Corbyn has previously said that Labour is prioritising a general election and would make the commitment to a referendum with leave and remain options in its manifesto.

The PM is expected on Tuesday to continue to campaign for the election he is yet to have any success in triggering.

Betty told Nigel Farage MPs must "stop whinging" and begin acting like adults as she warned she will not cast her vote for the Labour Party in the event of a snap election.
