Nintendo's Ring Fit Adventure is like Wii Fit for the Switch

GRID Autosport- Nintendo Switch

Ring Fit Adventure relies on two accessories: a leg strap and a device called the Ring-Con.

People use LOL an bad lot these days but do not mean it but I am now getting very odd looks across the office as I have laughed very, very loudly at the two rather scary people cheerfully chanting "Ring Fit Adventures" in this new video from Nintendo. The Leg Strap is attached to the player's upper left leg, while the Ring-Con is held in both hands. Battles are fought not with magic, but with fitness moves like squats, and players will be able to adjust the resistance of the Ring-Con if they're too young/unfit for the default settings.

Engage those abs to block attacks in Ring Fit Adventure. It all works in concert with the new Ring-Con and Leg Strap accessories, each of which use the Switch's Joy-Con to track the way your body's moving (the former is that circle thing Nintendo showed off in an odd teaser video last week). Occasionally, players will be confronted by one or more enemies, and it's then that the Ring-Con becomes a way to deliver attacks.

Water Vapor Discovered on Potentially Habitable Planet
Benneke opined that the research scientists are conducting is aiming toward "being able to study real, true Earth-like planets ... Exoplanets that are Jupiter-sized or larger are easier to find than smaller ones, particularly those closer to the size of Earth.

You can even sail over stretches of water by squeezing the Fit-Con against your stomach and performing ab twists! Make it past the two-minute mark in the video below, and you'll see that this is actually an RPG disguised as a fitness game.

Nintendo's unusual new Switch experience has a name: Ring Fit Adventure. By activating this mode, jogging-style exercises are swapped out for ones that are a little quieter, allowing players to keep their legs active without a heavy impact on the floor. It looks like a lot more fun than your standard exercise game.

Express Online will bring you more from Ring Fit Adventure in the run up to its October 18 release date on Nintendo Switch.
