Teen stole parents' money to fund alleged plot to kill them

Florida teen accused of stealing more than $1,400 from parents for failed murder-for-hire plot

Hatcher was placed in custody and transported to the Lake County Jail, where she was processed and later turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

When she was interviewed by an investigator at her home, Hatcher said that in addition to paying two people to kill her parents, she also used money she had stolen from her parents to buy cocaine, the affidavit says.

A Mastercard chip-based credit card is posed for a photo in Gelsenkirchen, Germany on November 18, 2009.

The murder-for-hire plot came to light after a Tavares High School student told a Lake County Sheriff's Office school resource deputy there that the 17-year-old girl had given another friend "a lot of money" to carry out the slayings, the report said.

Hatcher is scheduled to appear in a Lake County courtroom on October 3. The judge also appointed Hatcher a public defender. The friend backed out and told authorities, according to the news report.

Hatcher then attempted the plot again.

She allegedly later admitted to investigators that she handed one person $400 to murder her parents, and another person $900 when the initial person failed to follow through.

Tesla claims record at Laguna Seca in modified Model S
According to subsequent tweets by Elon Musk, it is a new mode that uses not one, not two, but THREE motors. The recent revelation, however, suggests that Tesla may indeed give Porsche a run for their money.

She was arrested by the Umatilla Police Department for the theft of the card.

It's not clear why the girl, who posted a photo to her Instagram account Monday with a one-word caption - "Ruthless" - and a happy-face emoji, wanted her parents killed.

"The parents did press charges", Sgt. Jones said. "When it comes to something like that I can not imagine the shock you would be in as a parent knowing that this is my daughter ... what my daughter meant to do".

"The parents are good people, outstanding citizens".

"There were people who were saying on social media how much she hates her parents", Jones said.

Officials do not believe the parents are in danger any longer.
