Google Maps Incognito Mode Now Available for Android

The feature is now rolling out to Android users. While the feature is now being rolled out only to Android devices, Google says it will soon be making its way to Maps users on iOS as well. As per the Google support page, when a person turn on incognito mode, activities in Maps-like the places searched or get directions to-won't be saved to Google Account.

When you enable incognito Mode in Maps, the app will not save your browse or search history and nor will it update your location history or shared location.

Google first announced that Incognito would be released for Maps a few months ago, and more recently reiterated that the feature was coming soon. More often than not, however, people probably don't like it if it happens the other way around, with Maps and, therefore, Google, being able to locate and track your activities. Five months later, it's finally happening, at least for Android users. This includes keeping your search history clean, but is also particularly useful for surfing without using your personal information, which can be useful for various reasons.

F1's new 2021 regulations to include US$175m spending cap
A $175m cost-cap will also be introduced as a new addition to cut the amount of money teams spend over a season. However, it excludes marketing costs, the salaries of drivers , and of the top three personnel at any team .

An Incognito mode will likely help to court users who have become increasingly concerned with information being stored and tracked by the company in the name of fueling its targeted advertisements business. Some new verbal announcements (for walking) will also be added to Google Maps as well.

The company's attempts to strengthen privacy controls for its users comes at the same time as loopholes emerged in Chrome's Incognito mode. After updating your Google Maps app, users can go to Navigation, go to the "Walking options" setting and select the option "Detailed voice guidance" under it.
