Marvelous Mrs Maisel actor found dead

Brian Tarantina

Brian Tarantina, 60, who most recently played Jackie in Amazon's The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, was found dead in the early morning hours of November 2 after suffering an illness.

Maisel actor Brian Tarantina has been found dead from an apparent drug overdose inside his Manhattan apartment on Saturday.

Brian Tarantina, an actor who recently played the role of Jackie in Amazon's "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" series, has died in NY at age 60, his manager told CNN on Saturday.

Tarantina played Jackie, the emcee at the Gaslight comedy club where Midge performs, on the popular Amazon series. And he's been in every significant thing we've done since.

Florida State fires coach Willie Taggart
Florida State's attendance has been down all season, with fans clearly showing their unhappiness with the on-field product. Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney was asked his reaction to the news during his weekly media teleconference.

The EMS declared Mr. Tarantina had died in his apartment not long after the police arrived at the scene. "For over twenty five years, Brian Tarantina has been in our lives". And lucky for us, we were. "Sending love to his family and friends in this hard time", the post read.

'The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation remains ongoing'. His acting roles extend as far back as 1968 and even included a recent appearance alongside Melissa McCarthy and Tiffany Haddish in 2019's The Kitchen.

Previously, Brian was among the rest of the cast and crew when the Amazon series took home the Screen Actors Guild award for Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy series near the beginning of the year. He also had roles in the films BlacKkKlansman and The Kitchen. He's perhaps best known for tough guy roles in flicks like "Jacob's Ladder", "Uncle Buck", "The Jerky Boys", "Summer of Sam", "Knight and Day", "Carlito's Way", "Donnie Brasco", "City By the Sea" and others.
