Andy Reid Issues Update On Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes talks with Chiefs coach Andy Reid before last week's game against the Minnesota Vikings

During his meeting with the media before practice, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid wouldn't say who was starting at quarterback on Sunday against the Titans.

When Mahomes originally suffered the injury, it looked as though the Titans might catch a break and miss the star quarterback for this contest, however there is a chance Mahomes comes back right on time for the Titans to have to deal with him. "He didn't consider a ton of reps last 7 days so we'll try to raise them listed here a minor little bit and see how it works out".

"We're going to see how he does".

Asked about Mahomes on Wednesday, Reid told reporters that he won't put Mahomes on the field if there is a risk. Or next week. Or not until the Chiefs return from their bye for their next home game against the Raiders on December 1. After being out two, Mahomes is still pushing for an early return when K.C. takes on the Tennessee Titans this Sunday.

Backup quarterback Matt Moore replaced Mahomes against the Broncos after his knee injury. "I'm not the expert, that's for sure", Reid said.

Load management is spoiling a potential NBA Finals preview
Leonard did not play during the Clippers' 110-96 loss at Utah last Wednesday, which was televised nationally on ESPN. Also, the Clipper watched Leonard play 60 games last season then be the Finals MVP and lead the Raptors to a ring.

"It's been a wild couple of weeks", Moore said.

Without Mahomes, Kansas City has gone 1-1, losing to the Green Bay Packers before pulling out a last-second win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

On the season, Mahomes has thrown for 2,180 yards, 15 touchdowns and one interception while completing 65.1 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 113.1.

"We're likely to see how he does. But Matt has been doing a great job ever since Pat went down".
