CMS teacher accused of sex with student found dead along with husband after SWAT situation

The Huntersville Police Department said the bodies of Emma Ogle, 63, and her husband, 59-year-old Michael Ogle, were discovered by members of a SWAT team shortly after they made entry into the couple's home in Huntersville, located north of Charlotte.

Emma Ogle, 63, was arrested last Thursday and was facing several charges after being accused of sexual misconduct with a teenage student, police say, WSOC reported.

Police said a relative called 911 to report that Ogle was armed and barricaded inside the residence with her husband.

According to a press conference held this afternoon, police were first alerted to the situation after a family member of Michael Ogle drove to his house after he didn't come to work. Police, medics, firefighters and crisis negotiators all were called to the scene. The two were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds, according to Saglimbeni.

School officials said the veteran teacher was suspended without pay from the district following her arrest. "It's not a very common thing that we see here in Huntersville so when it happens it's shocking".

After receiving the data from Moscow, WADA's investigation and intelligence department suspected that the records had been manipulated before being submitted.

Ogle was arrested on Halloween and accused of starting a relationship with the teen in the spring, and by the summer it had turned sexual.

Ogle, 63, has taught career and technical education (CTE) Health Occupations at Garinger High School in Charlotte since 2014.

"I recognised her", one senior at the school, Edward Ramon, told local media. Prior to that, Ogle had been a teacher at Vance High School.

Officers quickly worked to block off the area, put the elementary school across the street on lockdown, and sent in the SWAT unit. The lockdown has since been lifted.
