Zuckerberg takes long view on new year's resolutions

Zuckerberg Elections

Giving up? Now that's a resolution the common person can get behind.

However, the company also revealed that they are going to offer more transparency among the users and all those political ads so that they can control what they see.

San Francisco, Jan 11 (SocialNews.XYZ) Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has called for new ways for communities to govern themselves and legitimate regulation around elections, harmful content, privacy, and data portability in the new decade.

What the hell, why not?

Perhaps last year's failure is why Zuck has chose to ditch his New Year's "personal challenge" this year and, presumably, for the next decade.

Man hacks 'Sleeping Beauty' showing with on-screen marriage proposal
It was here the characters were changed into versions of Loechler and David before the proposal took place in a packed cinema. The animated version of Loechler pulled out a ring on screen before "tossing" it to the real Loechler in the audience.

"Rather than having year-to-year challenges, I've tried to think about what I hope the world and my life will look in 2030 so I can make sure I'm focusing on those things", he wrote. Zuckerberg's aspiration is for his company's efforts to "go a long way towards creating more opportunities around the world".

The 34-year-old billionaire exec said that he's now handling more "social responsibility" and is raising a family so he can no longer set himself any annual challenges. He also said he wishes that in no more than the succeeding decade larger and practical reality technologies the company is functioning today will be so extremely advanced that people could sense like they are in the room with somebody else, even if they are literally miles away. The previous year, he said he was going to fix a broken Facebook (how did it end?). According to the other parts of his 10-year projection, Zuckerberg made mention of virtual reality without mentioning Facebook's proposed digital currency Libra. The vision says a lot about the company's plan for digital commerce, and more importantly, its financial services. And in 2017, he excitedly wrote about meeting people in all states of the United States. We imagine that his huge piece of land in Hawaii is more conducive to this.

To be clear, Zuckerberg's Facebook post was more than just a relatable admission that resolving to better oneself is, like, totally a waste of time man - especially when everyone knows you're just going to be back on your bullshit sooner or later.

It also included bold thoughts about the future and groundbreaking insights into the present. Housing costs are too expensive; and millennials will bring about social change.

We can hardly wait.
