Sales of iPhones Supporting 5G To Exceed 80

Apple begins battery replacement program for iPhone XR XS and XS Max Smart Battery Case

Similarly, the mmWave technology-based models of the iPhone would be sold by Apple in the same countries, the US, China, and South Korea and in addition in Japan and Canada.

A new investor note by analyst Ming Chi-Kuo offers tantalizing predictions about the state of 5G on this year's iPhone models.

However, Kuo disagrees, as his latest supply supply-chain report specifically says that the new iPhones will support both bands.

The Kuo report does not really contradict this position by dividing the iPhone 5G into sub-6 GHz and those supporting wwWave. This generally offers slightly faster speeds than LTE and significantly lower latency, but does not correspond to the much higher speeds offered by mmWave 5G...

17-year-old helps NASA find planet in habitable zone
It is a great addition to the legacy of a mission that has helped confirm two of the TRAPPIST-1 planets and identify five more. A NY high school student can put "planet discovery" on his resume after finding a new world during his NASA internship.

That said, it remains to be seen how useful mmWave 5G technology is used in practice. Last April, for example, he reported that Apple would launch two new AirPods models in 2019 - one that represented an iterative update from the original version and another new pair with a revamped design. In this regard, Apple has just announced that it has found that some Smart Battery Cases specifically made for iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR may experience charging issues. The difference in 5G connectivity in most areas of the world will make it unlikely that Apple will place much priority on marketing mmWave.

According to analyst Mehdi Hosseini, "The delay in the launch, according to our checks, stems from Apple's decision to in-source the Antenna-in-Package (AiP) modules instead of purchasing from the 3rd party".

Apple is rumored to be working on seven new iPhones for release in 2020, including an array of 4G and 5G iPhone 12 models and the long-awaited iPhone SE.
