Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's battle royale is called Warzone, leaks suggest

Modern Warfare Warzone Gameplay First Look Item List Revealed

Note that as of now, we're not sure whether it's called Call of Duty: Warzone or Modern Warfare Warzone or something else entirely.

Modern Warfare's Battle Royale mode is no secret, despite the mode's name, release date, features and more being unconfirmed.

The team behind "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" recently dropped the game's season 2 cinematic.

Rumors of the new battle royale mode have been circulating for months, with the main source being the game's Ground War maps and how they fit together to create one, huge map made specifically for the last-man-standing mode. Another scene showing a green gas could be an indication of how the shrinking circle of death would be like in the new mode.

One of the biggest hints is that the season 2 in-game cinematic appears to be teasing Battle Royale for Call of Duty Modern Warfare. The images show the Warzone lobby where everything is locked.

For a long while, the Call of Duty release schedule was fairly predictable, with three Activision studios taking turns at putting out their own projects.

Another important discovery about "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" was shared on Twitter by user PrestigeIsKey. And are you excited for a battle royale mode in Modern Warfare? Flying up to get an eagle-eye view of the map only seems to offer a low-resolution view, but he was able to tweet some decent overhead screenshots.
