South Shore furniture is recalling a chest of drawers due to a serious tip-over and entrapment hazard after one person died.

"One report stated that a child received bruises on his leg and scratches", the notice says. Details on affected model numbers are available here. By contacting the company, consumers can get a free pickup and refund, receive new drawer slides, or get free in-home installation of an anchor to keep it from tipping over.

There were 6,930 units sold in Canada, and another 315,600 sold in the US and Mexico, between 2009 and 2018.

Once customers make their decision, they should call South Shore at 855-215-4932, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m.to 5 p.m., Eastern time.
