Kroger To Introduce CBD Products In 17 States

"CBD is a naturally-occurring and non-intoxicating compound that has promising benefits and is permitted within federal and state regulations", Kroger Corporate Affairs Manager Rachel Hurst told WXYZ by e-mail.

The Kroger Co.is preparing to roll out CBD products like lotions, balms and oils in 17 different states, including Indiana.

Besides Wisconsin, Kroger will sell CBD creams, balms and oils in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Washington and Wyoming, according to the company.

Eric Halvorson with Kroger's Central Division in Indianapolis says 89 Kroger stores in IN will soon offer a limited selection of topical CBD products. They will be available in the pharmaceutical section of stores that have pharmacies, she explained. The products must contain no more than 0.3 percent of tetrahydrocannabinol, THC.
