Tucker Carslon, Rep. Ilhan Omar Feud Over Primetime Remarks

Tucker Carlson has a history of racist, xenophobic and misogynistic comments; he recently said immigration makes America "poorer, and dirtier, and more divided", and in 2006 called Iraqis "semiliterate primitive monkeys".

"Omar's story echoed the plot of 'Les Miserables.' If true, it is also probably embellished".

"Virtually every public statement she makes accuses Americans of bigotry and racism".

"Omar may be from another country, but she learned young that crying racism pays", Carlson added, before explaining that the "left" taught her to behave in such a way.

"Americans like to help". "Nothing they say on the subject of race is honest; it's all the hustle created to get them what they want". "Some of our deepest satisfaction as a country comes from watching penniless immigrants arrive on our shores, buy into our values and thrive. Of course, they called us racist".

Rather than limit the segment to a response to her comments, Carlson dedicated more than 20 minutes of his hour-long show to taking down Omar, with three separate guests weighing in. "It's risky", she said.

Citing a Washington Post profile on Omar, Carlson claimed the congresswoman "hates this country more than ever" despite her having "an very bad lot to be grateful for".

"Advertisers should not be underwriting hate speech", she concluded.

Taylor Swift emerges as highest-paid celebrity on Forbes Celebrity 100 list
The magazine calls Akshay "Bollywood's top-earning star", with an earning of at least 5-10 million USD (Rs 35-70 crore) per film. No doubt, he is called one of the biggest superstars of the country and earns huge profits every year.

"No lies will stamp out my love for this country", added the congresswoman from Minnesota, "or my resolve to make our union more flawless". It describes Omar's relationship with her country as "complicated". "And not just because Omar is now a sitting member of Congress. Ilhan Omar is living proof that the way we practice immigration has become risky to this country..." They can never criticize the immigration process or the systems created to keep them in poverty.

Carlson bolstered his claims with a recent profile of Omar published in The Washington Post.

Since taking office, Rep. Omar has not held back when talking about the aspects of the country she sees as needing improvement. The irony there is that if she wasn't a member of Congress, she'd be a member of the KKK.

"We noted at the beginning of the show that Ilhan Omar is trying to take this show off the air", Carlson declared.

The Somali-born congresswoman, who immigrated to the U.S.in 1992, took to Twitter to respond to Carlson's inflammatory comments late Tuesday night, writing: "No lies will stamp out my love for this country or my resolve to make our union more flawless".

Iraq is part of the Trump administration's travel ban that restricts immigration from several Muslim-majority nations, including Somalia, where Omar was born. He also suggested to viewers that "maybe we are importing people from places who are simply antithetical to ours". But he conceded he did not know what, exactly, had troubled him.

More restrictions appeared to be on Carlson's mind.
