AD ASTRA Official Trailer #2 (2019), Brad Pitt, Sci Fi Movie

New Ad Astra Trailer & Poster Takes Brad Pitt to the Stars

The first trailer for James Gray's upcoming sci-fi Ad Astra didn't necessarily look much like a James Gray film - the director who previously gave us The Lost City Of Z and We Own The Night.

In a second full trailer released in July, the relationship between McBride and his father is at the center of the preview, with Pitt delivering a monologue about their past and his decision to explore space as a profession.

This one stars Brad Pitt as Major Roy McBride, the son of Tommy Lee Jones' Clifford McBride - an astronaut who went missing on a mission. "It's okay. I'm doing something I like".

Apollo 11 launched 50 years ago on July 16, 1969
The team will commemorate the Apollo 11 mission by wearing special hats during the game that feature the Apollo 11 mission emblem. The morning of the launch, the Apollo 11 trio ate breakfast with a much smaller crew and reviewed maps with NASA's Deke Slayton.

James Gray previously talked about his goal for the movie. The studio teased the story on social media adding, "His journey will uncover secrets that challenge the nature of human existence and our place in the cosmos".

The film also stars Ruth Negga, Liv Tyler, and Donald Sutherland.

Regency Enterprises and Fox produced the movie with Bona Film Investment Company, which is handling China. Are you going to watch the movie in theaters? "It's really more of an attempt by us to examine a schizoid personality", Gray said, "and how that is preferred for astronauts in space travel because you don't have to connect emotionally". You can check out the trailer in the player below, along with the new poster in the gallery!
