New Final Fantasy 7 Remake Trailer Shows Turks, Summons, and Squatting

The trailer gives us our first glimpse of the Turks, the goon squad for evil megacorporation Shin-Ra, summons Shiva and Ifrit, and Cloud being turned into a frog in the midst of battle. By the time the first episode releases in March 2020, it will have been almost five years since the remake was first revealed, as as we inch ever closer to release day, Square Enix has been sharing more footage from the game. It also provides a glimpse at some of the new things Square Enix has added to the remake, including a boss fight with Reno, a brand new SOLIDER member and more. It shows us plenty more action in the game's early section in the dystopian city of Midgar.

It is hard to contain all the hype for this game in just one trailer, but that TGS 2019 video sure did the trick. The counter is set to hit zero on September 11 at 7 am PT/10 am ET/3pm BST/ 11pm JST. It clearly says "New Trailer" atop the timer, so we can presumably expect one of those to go live once the timer hits zero. Hopefully Square Enix answers these questions and more in its new trailer.

UK Summons Iran Ambassador for Breaching Assurances on Oil Tanker
The Adrian Darya 1, formerly known as the Grace 1, was carrying 2.1 million barrels of Iranian crude oil worth some $130 million. It is thought the ship turned off its transponder in the Mediterranean Sea before travelling to Syria .

The release date for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake was also revealed at E3 2019 and a playable demo was available on the show floor. But it wouldn't be until 2019 that Square Enix showed off substantial new footage of the remake.

The remake is coming on March 3, 2020. Check out our Final Fantasy 7 Remake wiki for IGN's full coverage. You can reach him on Twitter.
