Graham says he Will invite Giuliani to testify on corruption inside Ukraine

U.S. Senate panel chairman says to probe Ukraine invites Giuliani

Giuliani would nonetheless be topic to questions from the Democrats on the Judiciary Committee - together with presidential hopefuls Sens.

Giuliani further called the impeachment inquiry "so stupid, it's neanderthal". The inquiry, initiated on September 24, is centered on Trump's call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which prompted an anonymous whistleblower to file a complaint, accusing the president of leveraging his office and withholding USA aid to the country in order to obtain "dirt" on a political opponent-2020 Democratic candidate Joe Biden.

The announcement, first made in a series of tweets by the South Carolina Republican and Trump supporter, came as Giuliani has become targeted in House Democrats' impeachment inquiry.

Graham, the chairman of the committee, Tuesday invited Giuliani to testify before the panel about his efforts to convince Ukraine's government to investigate the Bidens.

A former White House adviser who focused on Russian Federation is expected to meet with three House committees behind closed doors Monday as part of Democrats' impeachment inquiry.

"Given the House of Representatives' behavior, it is time for the Senate to inquire about corruption and other improprieties involving Ukraine", Graham, R-S.C., said in his tweet.

Zuckerberg to testify before US Congress over Libra
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg testifies before a House Energy and Commerce hearing on Capitol Hill in Washington previous year . But lawmakers around the world raised concerns about its implications for financial markets, cyber crime and consumer privacy.

Text messages between top US diplomats that were released by the House Intelligence Committee have corroborated the whistleblower's claim that Giuliani was involved in Trump's push to have Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky investigate the Bidens. He's giving a voice to Giuliani and his warped view of events, which seems rooted in a peculiar sort of political unified field theory - namely, that forces in Ukraine sought to elect Hillary Clinton and funnel USA tax dollars somehow to Hunter Biden, magically tying together the presidential campaigns of 2016 and 2020.

A call record of President Trump's July 25 conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky indicates that Trump pressed Ukraine to initiate investigations to benefit him personally and politically.

Trump would likely have to waive attorney-client privilege in order for Giuliani to testify before Congress, and it appears unlikely that he will do so.

House Democrats are waiting to see if the Trump administration will block the former US ambassador to Ukraine from speaking to their investigators.

Graham has emerged as a vocal defender of Trump, even as most of his Senate GOP colleagues have remained mum about the president publicly asking China and Ukraine to investigate a potential 2020 rival. Cory Booker (N.J.), Kamala Harris (Calif.) and Amy Klobuchar (Minn.) - a high-profile stage to question Giuliani, and knock Trump.

It is unclear if Giuliani will accept Graham's invitation and appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee. However, there has been no evidence of wrongdoing by either Biden.
