‘Jesus shoes’ with holy water in the soles are selling for $4,000

Jesus Shoe: $3,000 Sneakers Filled With Holy Water Sell Out In Minutes

Brooklyn-based label MSCHF have taken Jesus shoes to a whole new level with their latest holy shoes.

The brand recently released a customized Nike Air Max 97 shoe that has holy water built into the soles, according to Cosmopolitan.

Jesus walked on water - and with MSCHF's latest sneakers, you can, too.

The shoes were originally $1,425 but are all sold out now and going for up to eight times the price for those who slept on them when they first went on sale.

The words "MT 14:25" (an abbreviation for, Matthew 14:25, the Bible verse in which Jesus walks on water) are printed along the outer-facing side of the sneaker and MSCHF added a single drop of blood the tongue of the shoe to symbolize the blood of Christ.

Florida men tied to Rudy Giuliani arrested on campaign charges
One spoke with reporters, others posted photos on Facebook and touted their relationship with the president's lawyer. "It's nearly like everything they ever accused Obama of doing they are actually guilty of." a Twitter user wrote.

Some other religious insights include the frankincense-scented insoles, a crucifix threaded through the laces, and a red sole, which references the red shoes traditionally worn by past Popes. The brand asked itself, "What would a collab with Jesus Christ look like?" and came up with this white-and-sky-blue pair. The kicks are now reselling on StockX.com for $3,000, more than double the retail value.

The shoes have been created by MSCHF as part of a concerted effort to poke fun at collaboration culture in modern design.

"We thought of that Arizona Iced Tea and Adidas collab, where they were selling shoes that [advertised] a beverage company that sells iced tea at bodegas", Fox News quoted the head of commerce Daniel Greenberg as telling the New York Post.

On the company's website, MSCHF says more will be available on October 22nd and subsequent second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.
