At least one injured in shooting at New Hampshire church

Man charged in New Hampshire church shooting

Pelham's Police Chief Joseph Roark said no fatalities were reported in the shooting at New England Pentecostal church. "Upon arrival, a wedding was occurring at the church and the police officers discovered a suspected shooter being detained and subdued by the guests of the wedding". A third person suffered minor injuries while subduing the male suspect. It's unknown if they were part of the ceremony or guests at the wedding.

"Preliminary investigation of the matter indicates that this incident does not appear to be a random event", the statement said.

The church is located at 955 Bridge St. Pelham is approximately 40 miles south of Concord, the state's capital.

Lowell General Hospital in MA received one patient from the church shooting, who was then transferred to a Boston hospital shortly after noon Saturday, according to Angela Struck, director of public relations for the hospital.

The New England Pentecostal Ministries had already endured one tragedy, after one of its ordained ministers, Luis Garcia, was found shot to death inside his home last week. According to his obituary, he was a minister at the church.
