The next 'Fortnite' season might finally include a new map

Fortnite map goodbye

That's according to art that was posted early on the Italian iOS App Store, which shows a trio of characters standing on the hill of a new map, under the caption "Fortnite Capitolo 2" - you can probably guess how that translates. Or it could be that Fortnite's legion of players are going to be enjoying a revamped game that may still be the king of the battle royale crowd but could do with a bit of a spit and polish to maintain the heady figures that have seen it attract 250 million players and gross over US$2 billion. The listing also had a video tied to it, which you can see some of here. Would a new map be enough to tempt you back to the battle royale?

Fortnite Season 10's The End event takes place on Sunday, October 13 at the following times: 7 pm BST, 2 pm ET, 11 am PT.

It also wouldn't be too big of a stretch to assume that Season 11 is essentially "Part 2" of Fortnite. Considering the entirety of Fortnite Season X has revolved around nostalgia for the classic map, it makes sense that the current theme would act as a fitting send off for the original play space. "Fortnite" is available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and mobile.

Steam is bringing local multiplayer gaming to the online world
Some PC games include a local multiplayer option for groups of people who want to play together in the same location. In other words, it looks like Steam will use streaming technology to simulate a couch co-op experience.

Fortnite fans will be able to see all the action unfold when the Fortnite live event kicks off on Sunday October 13 at 7pm United Kingdom time. It's believed during that time fans will be forced off the old Island and pushed into the new area. It may be awhile before we know the true story behind this new map, but there's nearly no denying we'll be exploring it very soon.

Fortnite event time is nearly here, with the start date for the season 10 live event fast approaching.

It would be very surprising to have Fortnite players battling it out on a barren, virtually destroyed map for a few days.
