AT&T's priciest "unlimited" plan now allows 100GB

AT&T Unlimited Extra includes the benefits of the "Starter" plan, plus 15 GB of mobile hotspot per line and speeds of at least 50GB of data.

With AT&T Unlimited Starter, you can share, view and browse with unlimited data, talk and text in the US, as well as in Mexico and Canada.

At one point, AT&T was offering free HBO to all unlimited wireless subscribers but phased out that offer previous year. AT&T is also offering up to $700 in credits for customers who switch and trade in qualifying devices. Today the company revealed that it's replacing its two current unlimited plans - Unlimited & More and Unlimited & More Premium - with three new ones. The price: $40 per line on four lines. Later on, an AT&T Unlimited Elite plan will also be released for $50 a month with 4 lines. "On AT&T Unlimited & More, for all data usage, customer [s] may temporarily experience reduced speeds on these line (s) during times of network congestion", AT&T says. The Verge reports that single line accounts will cost $65 per month, so like many wireless plans out there, you'll be getting a discount depending on the number of lines you have. Across both Unlimited Starter and Unlimited Extra, video streaming quality will be capped at 480p, and there are no video streaming perks like AT&T's Watch TV included with either of these plans. That plan will run you $35 a line for four lines.

Washington Post criticised, and lampooned, over Baghdadi headline
The Post's headline was quietly changed to refer to al-Baghdadi as the " extremist leader of Islamic State". Amusingly, their original headline appeared to describe al-Baghdadi as "terrorist-in-chief".

AT&T is rolling out three new unlimited wireless plans - and with the new packages, subscribers will no longer have free access to WatchTV, the 35-plus live TV channels the telco launched past year.

AT&T Unlimited Elite, which will cost you $50 per line on 4 lines, also will offer 30GB of mobile hotspot per line and speeds of at least 100GB of data. It's that third plan, AT&T Unlimited Elite, which includes HBO for as long as you have the plan, as well as the ability to stream video in HD. Unlimited & More Premium also lets customers choose one of the following services: HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, Pandora Premium, Spotify Premium, and VRV.
