Here's how many people have ordered the Tesla Cybertruck so far

Lifted Tesla Cybertruck Looks Like a Stealth Hammer

A few days after the unveiling of the Tesla Cybertruck, Elon Musk took to Twitter to announce how many people have already secured a build slot in exchange for a $100 refundable deposit.

No launch date for the Tesla Cybertruck has been confirmed yet, but expect it to hit the markets by the end of 2021 at the earliest.

Tesla's new electric pickup truck has secured nearly 150,000 orders, the company's chief executive Elon Musk boasted on Twitter, just two days after its big reveal went embarrassingly wrong.

Tesla opened preorders immediately, however, and allowed potential buyers to book the truck by depositing just $100, compared to the $1,000 Tesla charged for booking Model 3 sedans in 2016, drawing the flood of reservations and sending the company's shares back up on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Cybertruck prototype has larger tires with bigger contact patches and could be equipped with all-wheel drive, more powerful electric motors and more weight than the F-150, although Tesla hasn't released the exact specifications of the vehicle used in the clip.

Game recap Predators hold off Blues, end six-game winless streak
Sorensen got the game's first goal at 6:38 of the second as he tipped a pass from Mario Ferraro for his fourth goal. Saros improved to 2-5-1 this season with his first win since October 26 at Tampa Bay.

We're pretty sure many attendees (as well as some of those watching the live stream) at first thought it was a joke, and that the "real" Tesla pickup would be presented after this ridiculous, futuristic triangle on wheels.

From touting the features of the new vehicle to taking a dig at a rival, Ford's F-150 pickup truck, Musk has been tweeting furiously to boost sales since Thursday's launch.

As a result, he agreed with USA regulators to submit his public statements about the company to vetting by its legal counsel. Musk responded to Adib's comment to confirm this theory saying, "Yup".

With a starting price of $39 900 (R585 000), the Cybertruck's angular body in gun-metal gray resembles an armored vehicle.
