Here’s when all the Premier League clubs will return to training

No wages if players refuse to train or play says senior Premier League club official - Report

The English top flight is continuing to work on its "Project Restart" plans amid the coronavirus pandemic, with the 20 clubs unanimously agreeing to the first stage of a return to training when they gathered today.

"Full consultation will now continue with players, managers, clubs, the PFA and LMA as protocols for full-contact training are developed".

"The health and wellbeing of all participants is the Premier League's priority, and the safe return to training is a step-by-step process".

Contact training and matches are yet to be allowed by the government, which is waiting to see there is no new spike in COVID-19 infections before further relaxing the distancing measures.

Richard Masters, the Premier League's chief executive, said that June 12 remained a "staging post" for the restart of matches although there is a widespread acceptance that it is likely to slip by at least a week.

Meanwhile, Richard Garlick, the Premier League director of football, said that clubs would be monitored at training grounds to ensure that all protocols are followed to avoid some attempting to gain an advantage by training for longer than the maximum allowed time of 75 minutes.

England global Raheem Sterling also expressed his concern at a quick turnaround between a resumption of training and playing matches.

Tourist from New York City Arrested in Hawaii After Posting Beach Photos
On May 15, 996 people arrived in Hawaii including 286 visitors and 333 residents, according to the state's tourism board . Travelers in quarantine aren't allowed to leave hotel rooms or residences for any reason except medical emergencies.

"We need to learn and adapt from phase one first and I'm most concerned that the guidance does not consider the culture of football and the lack of existing medical governance".

"If you asked people in the street would you train and play football against people being tested twice a week, would you do it for £60,000 a week, they'd all say yes".

Some players and managers have expressed concern about returning to training since Britain has Europe's highest virus death toll as well as the most confirmed cases.

"Phase two will be next week six days of training, three to six people training together with contact and then six days after that you're going into 11 versus 11 and you can't social distance with 11 versus 11".

Jurgen Klopp's side were 25 points clear of second-placed Manchester City (who had a game in hand) and just two wins away from sealing the title when the League was suspended in March.

"It makes me very cross".

United Kingdom minister Oliver Dowden said the EPL is likely to resume mid June at the earliest.
