Universal Orlando proposes phased reopening for early June, subject to approval

Universal Orlando Planning Phased Reopening In June

Universal Orlando Resort plans to reopen its theme parks on June 5 to the public, with soft reopenings for Team Members starting on June 1.

Universal Studios made the announcement during an Orange County, Florida Economic Recovery Task Force meeting attended by county and health department officials and community leaders.

As of this time, Universal has not shared official information about the hotels reopening, but the hotels are available to book Loews Hotels' site as well as Universal Orlando's. On June 3 and June 4, Universal plans to invite select guests such as Annual Passholders.

When you go to buy tickets to the four Disney Parks on their website, May and June are completely blocked out, but tickets open up for day-of entry on July 1. Beginning Wednesday, May 20, their third-party stores and restaurants will open. They also include touchless plans. Both theme parks announced re-opening plans that will put in place restrictions such as face masks, social distancing queues, elimination of mist elements of attractions, elimination of meet-and-greets, and more. The park will limit the capacity to ensure social distancing.

Visitors will have their temperature checked upon arrival, and if it's 100.4 degrees or higher, they won't be allowed to enter the theme park.
