Thirty-nine new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Alberta on Sunday, and no additional deaths.

It's the largest day-over-day increase since May 16, when there were 72 new cases.

The Edmonton zone continues to have the highest number of active cases in Alberta with 257, while Calgary has 239 active cases. The north zone and central zone have 32 active cases and 258 recovered cases, and four active cases and 87 recovered cases, respectively.

Hospitalization remains low with 41 Albertans now in hospitals with nine in intensive care.
