Did a Viewer Spot This TV Reporter's Cancer?

Florida TV reporter thanks viewer who spotted her cancer

"As a journalist, it's been full throttle since the pandemic began", she said.

Price said she had put personal medical check-ups in the background amidst the stress of the coronavirus pandemic, a time that for her included long hours of work and a new investigative role, all while adjusting to working remotely.

"Doctor says it's spreading, but not too much, and we're hopeful this will be my first and last procedure", she wrote, alongside a photo of her pointing to a somewhat visible lump on her neck.

Price wrote in a message on Instagram and Twitter that an unidentified woman reached out to her last month because the lump looked similar to one the viewer had that turned out to be cancer.

The unexpected series of events began in June when a woman saw Price on air and noticed a suspicious lump on her neck.

"I will always be grateful to the woman who did her best to send me an email, a total unknown", Price said.

A Florida broadcast journalist recently learned she has a tumor on her thyroid - and she discovered the cancer thanks to a faithful viewer.

Price's diagnosis thanks to a viewer's help is similar to "Inside Edition" host Deborah Norville, a former TODAY co-host who underwent surgery previous year to remove a cancerous thyroid nodule after a viewer brought a lump to her attention.

Powerball buddies split $22 million jackpot 28 years after promise

"Had I never received that email, I never would have called my doctor", Price said on Twitter. The cancer would have continued to spread out. "It's a scary and humbling thought", said WFLA reporter #VictoriaPrice in a tweet.

She stated she would "permanently be appreciative" for her viewer's e-mail, including: 'I will permanently be appreciative to the female who headed out of her method to email me, an overall complete stranger. She had zero obligation to, but she did anyway.

"I probably would've never known that I had cancer", he continued. "Talk about being in your own side, huh?" "Take care of yourself".

"Please check your thyroid", wrote the viewer after mentioning that he had noticed the lump while looking at one of Price's segments.

Price explained that thanks to an email from the Good Samaritan, a successful diagnosis was made.

"Hi, just saw your news report".

"We actually ended up spending the day with her", he told The Insider. What concerned me is the lump on your neck.

The young woman then revealed that because of the viewer's eagle-eyed attentiveness, she's going in on Monday for surgery to remove the cancerous tumor, as well as her thyroid gland and several impacted lymph nodes. Don't forget to take care of themselves. Love y'all and see you soon.
