Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell emails part of unsealed docs

Documents detailing Ghislaine Maxwell's ties to Jeffrey Epstein released

"Not all accusations or public statements are equal", US District Judge Alison J. Nathan wrote in her ruling in the case facing Ghislaine Maxwell.

Giuffre claims she had sex with Britain's Prince Andrew when she was 17 years old after being procured by Epstein.

U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska in Manhattan had on July 23 ordered the release of large portions of more than 80 documents from a 2015 civil defamation lawsuit against Maxwell by Virginia Giuffre, who accused Epstein of having kept her as a "sex slave" with Maxwell's assistance.

Both the prince and Richardson have denied the allegations against them.

Another document, containing questioning of Giuffre by lawyer Jack Scarola, states that Giuffre says she once saw Clinton on Epstein's island with "two young girls" from NY.

Among the materials released were January 2015 emails between Epstein and Ms Maxwell, who were identified respectively as "jeffrey E" and either "Gmax" or "G Maxwell".

In an email on January 24, 2015, Maxwell appears to try to distance herself from any intimate relationship she had with Epstein, a former hedge fund manager. It said she had been the target of "false allegations of impropriety and offensive behaviour that I abhor and have never ever been party to".

Epstein killed himself last summer while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Maxwell, 58, has pleaded not guilty to helping Epstein recruit and eventually abuse three girls from 1994 to 1997, and committing perjury by denying her involvement under oath.

Federal officers to withdraw from downtown Portland, governor says
Officials in both OR and Washington state denounced the deployments and said their presence ratcheted up tensions with protesters. Federal agents have used tactics, including flash grenades, pepper spray and pepper balls as well as batons, to disperse crowds.

Responding to an email from her a few days later, Epstein wrote: "You have done nothing wrong and I (would) urge you to start acting like it".

Ms Maxwell was arrested on July 2 at a New Hampshire home where prosecutors said she was hiding out.

She was denied bail and is being held in a Brooklyn jail after the judge overseeing her criminal case called her a flight risk.

She is now awaiting trial in a Brooklyn federal detention facility, facing the possibility of up to 35 years in prison. She did, however, grant Maxwell's legal team additional time to file another appeal by pushing back the deadline for the documents' release from Thursday to Monday.

Of all Epstein's victims, it's the allegations of Virginia Roberts Giuffre that has had the most fall out around the world.

Maxwell filed an emergency request with the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan one day after a federal judge rejected her claim that her need for confidentiality outweighed the public's right to see the April 2016 deposition, which was taken in a civil defamation lawsuit.

As part of their arguments asking for bail for Maxwell, her lawyers stated in court documents that their client has not had contact with Epstein for more than a decade.

"Ms. Maxwell's two deposition transcripts were designated "Confidential" and subject to the protection of the protective order", Gee said in his filing.

Her lawyers said they should be blocked because she now faces criminal charges.
