The iPhone 12 is definitely delayed

Apple Will Reportedly Unveil New iPhones, iPads In October

For the three months ended June 27, the USA handset giant posted 11% year-over-year total revenue growth to $59.7 billion, a record for a June quarter. Apple saw growth in all its product segments and geographies.

The announcement means that the new product line will miss the tech firm's customary September launch window.

To appease the higher-end market, the company is set to launch the next line-up of iPhones this quarter.

The pandemic likely boosted iPad and Mac sales due to lockdown rules and an increase in remote learning, while Apple store closures are weighing on iPhone sales, the CEO said in an interview with Bloomberg TV. "They probably affect wearables and iPhone the other direction". This is in spite of increased cost of sales and operating expenses.

Apple, which has begun to reopen stores in the coronavirus pandemic, has made the most money in the third quarter in its history.

The rest of the earnings call was pretty positive, thanks in part to said iPhone SE: sales of iPhones are up two per cent on a year ago, and iPad and Mac sales have rocketed despite the issues coronavirus causes.

Since Apple's financial year isn't the same as the calendar year, the results announced Thursday are for Apple's fiscal Q3 2020.

It gained more number of consumers in Europe that has been a stronghold for the company in the past. Also, all the figures listed are in thousands.

So, it's clear that more people are relying on Apple's services to get them through quarantine. Apple was compelled to shut down shops and income took a hit. Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri added that the iPad also established a June quarter revenue document in Better China.

iPhone sales rose just 2%

.

iPhone revenues inched up by 1.7% ($26.4 billion versus $25.98 billion year-over-year), aided by the popularity of the second-generation iPhone SE and the economic stimulus packages. A $399 starting price point makes the iPhone SE an attractive new device, especially in the face of continued economic uncertainty in many markets. Maestri spoke of a "very successful launch of iPhone SE". And services grew from $11.5 billion to $13.1 billion. But revenue in this category has grown steadily for years, so a year-over-year increase isn't surprising.

Services revenue was up year-over-year, but not as much as could be expected.
