"We do know what works and we do know what can make sure that we don't have higher cases in a week's time".

The Ministry of Health reported on Saturday that there are 25 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The county figures published by the department do not reflect today's rise, as they are announced later than national figures and relate to midnight on Friday 30 July.

There have now been a total of 3,641 confirmed cases and 195 deaths from COVID-19 in B.C.

There are 278 active cases of COVID-19 in the province and of these, five individuals are hospitalized, two of whom are in intensive care.

No information is available from Georgia about how many patients have recovered.

The total number of cases in the county has passed the 300 mark to reach 302.

People are being urged to exercise extreme caution this bank holiday weekend to halt the spread of Covid-19. The lone exception is Dougherty County, site of Georgia's first major outbreak. Only five counties had recorded more deaths resulting from the virus than Union County by Saturday.

There have now been a total of 498 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Galway City and County. Yesterday's was 5.4 percent, and Thursday's was 6.1 percent. Since the state began testing for COVID-19, 514,581 tests have been reported to the ADH, with 471,408 negatives, indicating an overall positivity rate for the state of 8.38%.

As more Georgians were tested over the last few weeks, positive percentages for both the virus test and tests overall have inched upward.
