Activision announces great news for Call of Duty fans

Black Ops Open Beta expanded for the Cold War

"The Beta will now end on Oct 20th at 10am PT". Also, the beta version will be playable for all the customers regardless of the ones who have pre-ordered.

The Black Ops Cold War open beta was originally scheduled to end at 6pm BST UK time on October 19. (Indeed, they did so with Modern Warfare.) Additionally, the company's marketing strategy with Black Ops Cold War so far has been to announce nearly everything at very short notice. This should allow players the chance to experience all attachments across the beta and build out loadouts in the Gunsmith.

What is great, though, is that this Black Ops Cold War beta extension means that players will also be able to continue enjoying the double experience.

On Sunday, October 18, Treyarch released a new game settings update for the Beta that updated all weapons to have a Max rank for players.

The open beta for Cold War started on October 17th, and has been available for all Xbox One, PS4, and PC players who pre-order the game. And for PC players, a valid and active Blizzard Battle.net account is required.

(Pocket-lint) - Call of Duty: Warzone is here to stay, that much is clear.

The Black Ops Cold War Beta Weekend 2 continues.

Fireteam: Dirty Bomb is a brand new mode that Treyarch is debuting in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is now in the open cross-play beta phase.

We don't have too many details about the SMG blueprint, but we know that there will likely be no other way to get it outside of reaching level 10 in the open beta.

Fixed a crash that could occur when players joined a Fireteam: Dirty Bomb match and were assigned an invalid team. The game will be playable on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

"A total of 40 players broken out into 10 teams will compete to take out enemies, collect uranium caches, locate Dirty Bombs scattered throughout the map, and successfully deposit their uranium into said bombs to detonate them and get the win".

The studio also announced a major new addition: Field of View Slider on all platforms.
