Legendary Kapil Dev Hospitalised After Suffering Heart Attack

Former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev reportedly suffered a heart attack on early Friday morning and had to undergo an emergency angioplasty surgery.

Kapil Dev was commissioned as an honorary Lieutenant Colonel of the Indian Territorial Army on Sept 24, 2008. One of the finest allrounders in the history of the game, the former cricketer represented India for well over a decade.

Dev is stable and under supervision in the ICU, Fortis Escorts Heart Institute said in a statement, adding that he is expected to be discharged within a "couple of days".
