'Blue Moon' is present at Halloween 2020

The moon will not actually be blue Saturday night, the term refers to the time when a second full moon occurs in one month.

While space treats are seemingly regular phenomenon now, what with NASA's exhaustive social media outreach efforts, the second full moon of the month is still in contention for being one of the more interesting celestial events to have happened in recent times.

'It gives two months each month with a full moon and one'. But Saturday's full moon is even more remarkable.

A FULL moon is set to be visible over Ireland this Halloween. Right now, the bright Moon is going to interfere with viewing of them, but a week after the full Moon it will become dimmer.

This makes it not only the third micromoon we've seen this Fall, but the farthest full moon of the entire year, earning it the title of 2020's "apogee" Full Moon.

On Halloween night, Jupiter will appear in the southwest and Mars will shine brightly in the east-southeast.
