Krebs' tweet references a press conference held by members of Trump's legal team at the Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington DC on Thursday.

In a Thursday tweet, Christopher Krebs - until Thursday the head of the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISC) - described the Thursday press conference held by Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani and other Republicans as some of the "most dangerous" television in U.S. history.

"Rumor Control: I never claimed there wasn't fraud in the election, [because] that's not CISA's job-it's a law enforcement matter".

That doesn't change the fact, however, that experts declared the 2020 USA election "the most secure in American history" - and that Trump lost.

The CISA statement asserted that "there is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised".

Trump and his campaign and supporters have pointed to irregularities in battleground states, such as three batches of uncounted ballots found in Georgia that were mostly for Trump, and a county in MI that wrongly reported a win by Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden before changing the results and saying Trump received more than 5,000 votes than initially posted.

For example, CISA published the following fact-check: "Reality: In some circumstances, elections officials are permitted to "duplicate" or otherwise further mark cast ballots to ensure they can be properly counted".

UK PM says he backs interior minister after inquiry into her conduct
Instead, the Prime Minister is expected to release an assessment of its findings by his adviser on ministerial standards, Sir Alex Allan.

"Chris Krebs did a really good job - as state election officials all across the nation will tell you - and he obviously should not be fired", Sen.

"We did it right", he added.

Krebs shared one tweet by Hammill that claimed Krebs was sacked "for refusing to lie" to the president. "Defend Today. Secure Tomorrow". He announced that this was directly related to Krebs' statement wherein he mentioned that there was no evidence of any irregularities in the voting system. Three former US officials told CyberScoop that an issue with Plankey's security clearance came up in the past year, prompting a review of his status as a clearance holder.

Trump, who has repeatedly made unsubstantiated claims of electoral fraud, was defeated by Democratic president-elect Joe Biden in the November 3 election. Will Hurd (R-Texas).

The CISA campaign, led by Krebs, was originally meant to target foreign interference.

The American leader maintains the former Vice President did not win, and that he will prove it.
