West wants to undermine Nagorno Karabakh peace deal, warns Russian Federation

Azerbaijan reclaims disputed land in Karabakh peace deal

Armenians are forced to leave their homes before the region is handed over to control by Azerbaijani forces.

Troops moved into the district of Aghdam, one of three to be ceded, the Azerbaijan defence ministry said, a day after Armenian soldiers and tanks withdrew from the territory.

Most of Azerbaijan's south-western district of Aghdam has been under the control of Armenian separatists since 1993. Azerbaijan has not disclosed its military casualties.

The truce, brokered by Russian Federation on November 9, stipulated that Armenia hand over control of some areas its holds outside Nagorno-Karabakh's borders to Azerbaijan.

On Thursday, people celebrated in Baku, with cars parading through the city with flags of Azerbaijan ally Russian Federation and Turkey.

Under the Russia-facilitated bargain, Nagorno-Karabakh's ethnic Armenian pioneers are giving over areas of an area which they had controlled for quite a long time yet had been kept on being globally perceived as a component of Azerbaijan.

Before Tonoyan's excusal was declared, an underlying report by Armenian paper Aravot had said he had offered his acquiescence.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday that providing humanitarian aid to residents of "severely hit" Nagorno-Karabakh was now a priority, and called on the United Nations and the World Health Organization to send delegations to the region.

The truce that ended six-weeks of fighting that killed hundreds of people was celebrated as a victory in Baku but was received with protests in Armenia, where thousands of people took on the streets to demand the resignation of country's prime minister.

France said on Thursday it wants global supervision to implement the ceasefire amid concerns in Paris that Russian Federation and Turkey could strike a deal to cut out Western powers from future peace talk.

A Russia-brokered cease-fire to halt six weeks of fighting over Nagorno-Karabakh stipulated that Armenia turn over control of some areas it holds outside the separatist territory's borders to Azerbaijan.

France's population includes between 400,000 to 600,000 people of Armenian origin.
