Cowboys coaching mistakes lead to blowout loss to Washington

Coach Mike McCarthy's first season in Big D isn't a total loss yet, but the Cowboys missed a chance to take some significant momentum into December after a 41-16 division loss to Washington on Thanksgiving Day.

Washington rookie running back Antonio Gibson, who scored his eighth touchdown of the season against the Bengals, had a career-high 128 yards rushing on 20 carries in Washington's 25-3 rout of the Cowboys in October at FedEx Field.

Facing second-and-five in the second quarter and marching into Dallas territory, Washington ran a variation on what is known as a "fumblerooski", slow-playing their own snap, then sending half of their backfield in one direction while the secretive ball-carrier bolts the other way. It's a neat play at first glance, but upon further inspection many fans recognized it as "The Annexation of Puerto Rico", the famous trick play from the 1994 film classic "Little Giants". "You can never covert them obviously if you don't call them and if you don't believe in them".

London anti-lockdown protests result in 155 arrests
The Metropolitan Police officers arrested 155 people for offending coronavirus regulations and assaulting a police officer. The group used its Twitter account throughout the afternoon to encourage people to head to central London locations.

Washington ran 66 total plays to Dallas' 57, and the game was decided by two.

Some fans celebrated Washington's hilarious play call on Twitter, while others were disappointed the Cowboys couldn't snuff out the play.
