Prince Philip, 99, admitted to hospital as a 'precautionary measure'

Prince Philip, 99, has been admitted to a London hospital after feeling unwell, Buckingham Palace says.

The Duke, 99, was admitted to the King Edward VII Hospital in London, on Tuesday evening but is said to be "in good spirits".

He is expected to remain there "for a few days of observation and rest".

The last time he was seen in public he seemed in good health, standing unaided - and he walked into hospital on Tuesday evening, having travelled there by auto. It was not an emergency admission.

The stay in hospital is purely precautionary and the illness is not COVID-19 related. Philip had been feeling unwell for a short period and the doctor was called, according to the royal source.

The couple have been spending the coronavirus lockdown in England at Windsor Castle with a small household staff, nicknamed HMS Bubble.

China's delegation to the WTO, in a statement , said "the WTO is at its critical moment and must be able to deliver soon". Mrs Okonjo-Iweala is, however, largely considered the shoo-in among experts and influential figures within the WTO.

In March 2018, Prince Philip concerned many once again after he missed a traditional Maundy church service due to "trouble with his hip", a source told People at the time.

In 2011, he was rushed to a hospital by helicopter after suffering chest pains and treated for a blocked coronary artery.

The revelation caused shockwaves at the palace, amid confirmation that Winfrey could ask "anything she wants".

Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth celebrated their 73rd anniversary last November.

"The Duke of Edinburgh has today left hospital after being discharged by his Doctor and is now back at Sandringham".
