Two Miami Spring Breakers Arrested for Drugging, Raping Woman Who Later Died

Evoire Collier 21 and Dorian Taylor 24

Two men are charged after cops say a 24-year-old woman was drugged, raped and died while spring breaking in South Beach.

The men, Evoire Collier, 21, and Dorian Taylor, 24, are also accused of stealing the woman's credit cards to spend money on their trip in South Beach.

The police are now investigating whether Englehardt may have died of an overdose, possibly from a pill that the suspects supplied, according to The Miami Herald. The Miami-Dade Medical Examiner's Office said Monday it is conducting further tests, and no cause of death has been determined.

Both men were caught on surveillance footage entering the Albion Hotel with the impaired victim, a Pennsylvania resident, at around 1 a.m. on Thursday, police said.

Collier and Taylor could face homicide or murder charges in addition to burglary with assault, sexual battery, petty theft, and fraudulent use of a credit card if Englehardt died as a result of the drug they provided her.

China, US to set up joint working group on climate change
Before sitting down, the two sides illustrated the poor health of their relationship by trading barbs in front of journalists. They accused the U.S. of making a "groundless attack on China's domestic and foreign policies".

Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer agreed that the men should remain behind bars before their trial, as prosecutors feared they could abscond. Collier was apprehended on Ocean Drive, wearing the same trousers as seen in the hotel security recording. The arrest report did not state whether she took the pill willingly or if she was given it surreptitiously.

Collier confessed that he and Taylor met the woman at a local restaurant, and they gave her a "green pill", which he thought was a Percocet, while they walked on Ocean Drive.

During Monday's bond hearing, a Miami Beach detective testified that by the time they reached the elevator, "The defendant was holding her from behind, holding her by the neck so she could stand".

He allegedly said "that he went along with [Taylor] as they planned to have sex with the victim", the report said.

Taylor was seen on surveillance video using the woman's credit cards at liquor stores and other locations around South Beach, police said, and had the woman's phone and more green pills when he was arrested.
