Aides to NY governor subpoenaed in sexual harassment probe

Andrew Cuomo is resisting pressure to resign following the flurry of sexual misconduct accusations

Dozens of officials working in Gov. Andrew Cuomo's administration have received subpoenas, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Vill says Cuomo took a special interest in her, telling her how lovely she was.

That tweet prompted a response from another former aide, Ana Liss, who has also accused the governor of sexual harassment, to post a.GIF from Jurassic Park where a glass of water trembles as a dinosaur approaches with the comment "Tfw he's approaching your desk".

"I never harassed anyone, I never assaulted anyone, I never abused anyone", Cuomo has said.

Both the New York State Attorney General's office and the New York State Assembly have active investigations into the allegations against Cuomo.

"No one should be surprised that the AG's office is issuing requests for documents and interviewing witnesses, including many who work for the governor".

Supreme Court's carbon tax ruling 'erodes provincial jurisdiction,' Kenney says
It sets minimum pricing standards for provinces to meet. "It was not identified in the constitution", he told CTV News Edmonton. The court dismissed the challenge in a 3-2 ruling.

Debra Katz, the attorney for Cuomo accuser Charlotte Bennett, told Bloomberg that her client's descriptions of DeRosa and other high-ranking women in Cuomo's office align with a pattern she's found in her sexual harassment cases. "Good, thorough, and fair investigations take time".

The demonstration was organized on behalf of women workers who say they are fed up with having to deal with harassment on the job, and the culture of tolerance trickles down from Albany.

There was no immediate comment from the Cuomo administration.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is being accused of sexual misconduct by a tenth woman.

Despite the controversies surrounding him, the governor has remained steadfast that he will not step down, and denied that any of the ongoing scandals limits his ability to lead or govern the state.

"Women have the right to come forward and be heard, and I encourage that", Cuomo said in a press conference earlier this month. The Democratic governor has brushed off widespread calls for his resignation and asked that people wait for the results of an investigation overseen by state Attorney General Letitia James.
