Investigation begins into how ship got stuck on Suez Canal

Suez Ship Makes It into Microsoft Flight Simulator

Experts dived under a colossal container ship that had been stuck for almost a week in the Suez Canal before it was freed, to examine the vessel's underside, officials said Wednesday.

Clearing the ships that built up at the Suez Canal could take four days, although catching up at ports will take longer, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) said.

International Maritime Organization Secretary-General Kitack Lim Monday congratulated Egypt and the Suez Canal Authority on successfully refloating MV Ever Given ship.

The Ever Given has been anchored in the Great Bitter Lake, the canal's midway point, since being refloated on Monday.

About 12% of global trade passes through the 193km (120-mile) canal, which connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea and provides the shortest sea link between Asia and Europe. The owners and insurers of the ship could be looking at claims totalling millions of dollars, Reuters reported.

He said a personal error or a technical error is likely to have caused the ship to run aground beside the strong dust and wind.

The woman is reported to have said she was shocked when the Governor leaned in and kissed her cheek then kissed the other one. A photo of the incident from the wedding shows Ruch with a look of dread upon her face as Cuomo cups her face in his hands.

The captain explained that investigations shall answer the question of whether the ship's captain followed the instructions of the Suez Canal guide or not before its grounding pointing out that the process will be carried out in public for it is an issue of global interest.

He said the navigation of the ship would depend on "several legal and procedural" measures that the canal authority would discuss with the Ever Given's operator. The TikTok video showed a pilot's eye view of the stuck cargo ship, as featured in the flight simulator.

Bruce Carnegie-Brown told Reuters it was too early to give an exact figure, but estimated that it could amount to $100m (£73m) or more.

Mr. Ricafort said that transport and shipping costs for some Philippine exports and imports will increase due to the delay to ships undertaking longer-than-expected voyages.

"All of this will ripple through the supply chain", he warned.
